New home for Mariamu
Mariamu is a brave woman and a loving mother who takes care of her children herself, and it is not easy. Her eldest daughter is 14 years old and does not live with her family. She has moved to the city for work. The others are a seven-year-old son and little twins. When she was about the age of her eldest daughter, Mariamu began to have great difficulty coordinating her movements and walking. Her condition worsened day by day and today she can barely walk a few steps and can barely stand on her feet. The children's father does not live with the family, so Mariamu has to face all of life's challenges and obstacles alone. They live in a very modest dwelling, which is held together only by force of will and is full of water in the rainy season. In order to at least provide for and feed her children, she breaks the rock lava that is nearby into small pieces, which the buyer then buys from her. But the profit is minimal and barely enough for a little food. Her son Amrani, a little super hero, helps her to break the stone. He has taken on the role of the head of the family and since his mother doesn't get far, most of the work and responsibility hangs on him. But every morning he nevertheless runs down the hill to sit in his school desk. He is very bright, writes beautifully, is good at arithmetic and has great results at school. We have known this family for some time and whenever it is possible we bring them food, clothes or other necessities. But most of all they need a new home. The parents of Mariamu once gave her a piece of land, which stands near the current house. We promised to help her build at least one or two small brick rooms and we are determined to keep our promise. And we need your help, of course. If you are interested in contributing to the construction of their new home, we would be extremely grateful for any amount. Just mention Mariamu's name in the comment when you send your payment. Thank you very much!
